Hellingly
hospital formerly known as the East Sussex County Asylum was an
enclosed society having its own farm, chapel and even a railway
connected to the nearby Cuckoo line. Opened in 1903 it now stands
sadly ravaged by the elements and vandals after closing its doors in
the early 90's.
